·       Frieze Seoul

Fiona is leading communications for Frieze Seoul which is coming to Asia for the first time in September 2022. On top of talking to the press, she is engaging with the movers and shakers of contemporary Korean culture and is helping Frieze Seoul put an already exciting city of Seoul onto a global culture map.

 

·       The Korean Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2019 and 2021

Fiona was in charge of international communications for the Korean Pavilion at Venice Biennale in 2019 and 2021. Supporting a talented curator Kim Hyunjin in 2019, the first female director of the Korean Pavilion, and an architect with a bold vision Shin Hae-won in 2021, she contributed to making the Korean Pavilion one of most talked about in Venice. She also worked closely with Hae-won on her efforts to lead Curators Collective which gathered over 50 curators from National Pavilions.

·       Teo Yang Studio

Teo is Asia’s prominent designer who pioneered in modernising the traditional Korean aesthetics. Fiona first met Teo in Hong Kong when he was promoting his collaboration with Savoir Bed in 2015 and supported him to gain international fame over the years.

 

·       intg.

Fiona met intg. while promoting Autograph Collection Ryse Hotel in Seoul, that intg. led its interior design. Led by an amazingly talented young couple, intg. is bringing a fresh outlook to spaces in Seoul by mixing colours and texture in an exquisite way.

 

·       The System Lab

 

Led by Professor Chanjong Kim, The System Lab brings the best system to the client without insisting on architect’s own design language. From the Healing Stay Kosmos, which won the best hotel in Wallpaper*’s Design Awards to Hana Bank’s building, Chanjoong’s buildings make you stop and reflect.  

 

·       Seoul’s first City Architect Seung H. Sang of Irojae

While many companies and the government were looking for international starchitect to bring a new landmark, Seung H. Sang, one of the most respected architects in Korea, tell people Seoul’s best landmarks are the four mountains surrounding the historic city. As Seoul’s first City Architect, he shifted the direction of Seoul from rapid growth to regeneration.  

·       Hyundai Card and Hyundai Capital

Fiona led international communications of Hyundai Card and Hyundai Capital for over ten years both from the in-house and agencies side. Fiona helped position the company as one of the most innovative companies with strong cultural marketing by generating impactful interview stories with its CEO Ted Chung in the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek among others.  

 

·       Paradise City

Fiona led international communications around the opening of Art Space in Paradise City and managed interviews with Jeff Koons and Paradise Group’s vice chairman who created Artainment for Korea’s largest integrated resort which combines art and entertainment with an impressive art collection and exhibitions.

·     V&A 

For V&A’s Deputy Director’s visit to Korea, Fiona arranged meetings with potential partners, such as developers, large companies, and cultural institutions. 

·       M+ Museum in Hong Kong

For one of the opening exhibitions for M+ Museum, Fiona led research on Korea’s nation-building through design perspectives. She also procured important design items for M+’s Korea collection on behalf of M+.

·       Hyundai Motor

For Hyundai Motorstudio, Hyundai’s exhibition space around the world, Fiona is in charge of developing two to three exhibitions per year. She works with leading design studios and curators from Europe such as Jason Bruges Studio to develop innovative concepts for Hyundai’s visions including future mobility and robotics.

 

·       Thames & Hudson

Fiona supports Thames & Hudson to identify and develop ideas for Korea related books from architecture, design, craft to pop culture.
